How do you organize the best karaoke parties? We’ll tell you, right here…
You can throw some of the best karaoke parties even with limited space and a tiny budget. Just follow the steps below…
Step#1-Get the Right Karaoke Machine
This is an essential for any karaoke party you might be organizing. The right karaoke equipment can make or break your party- so give it some thought before investing in it. You can get karaoke equipment for a range of prices. Just hook your equipment up to your TV so that the music is channeled through the stereo speakers. Don’t want to get a karaoke machine just yet? Don’t worry! Just get a few karaoke DVDs and get set to groove! You may not get the voice amplification you normally associate with a karaoke machine- but that’s okay if you have a small apartment! You can even access on demand karaoke from your cable company!
Step #2- Set It up Right
If you are using CDs and DVDs, it’s a good idea to have a list of the songs available, sorted both by song and by title. This will make it easier for guests to look for their favorite track! If you don’t want to go for a list, make sure your CDs are easily searchable.
Have a clearly defined stage area for the performance. A casual setting always works best. Don’t arrange chairs in rows facing the singer-it may just intimidate the performer! Instead, push your coffee table to a side (you can keep the CDs there) and arrange the chairs casually.
Step#3- Arranging For Refreshments
Just a karaoke machine is not enough. You will also need to arrange for the right food and other activities, so that your karaoke party does not fizzle out in a few minutes. Arrange for drinks that go with the karaoke theme. For instance, a musical margarita sounds just right- and may loosen a few inhibitions also! Don’t go for heavy foods.
Also, you might want to avoid those greasy snacks- you might just end up with stains on your equipment. Go for foods that need to be taken with a spoon- for instance pasta. You can also go for snacks that are stuck with toothpicks. Always avoid chips or candy bowls and keep plenty of napkins handy. A box of moistened tissues near the CDs is an especially good idea!
Step#4- Keep It Relaxed
Remember, the whole purpose of a this party is to have fun! Don’t spoil it by being too controlling! Let things be casual and relaxed. This is the only way to have the best karaoke party!
Add life to your party-karaoke can just be the start of a memorable evening!
